Following his exit from the All Progressives Congress (APC), Waziri Adamawa, Atiku Abubakar can be likened to a ripe maiden, ready and willing to mate with the right spouse.

Currently, his former party, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) is looking like the most suitable spouse as indications had been rife for a while that he may infact be returning to his former bride groom.

In the meantime however, former party mates Senator Ben Murray-Bruce and Femi Fani-Kayode took to Twitter to congratulate Atiku over his exit from APC and went ahead to plead with him to return to PDP.

Tweeting, Ben Bruce said:

"I congratulate @Atiku for leaving the APC. It took courage especially as he has wide business investments that are already targets and could be further targeted. I, Senator Ben Murray-Bruce, now appeal to Waziri Adamawa, to return to the house he helped build, the PDP."

Fani-Kayode however went a step further, indicating that Atiku may have infact already returned to the PDP tweeting:

"Congrats to @atiku for dumping the plague called APC and coming back home to the PDP family. It took courage to take that bold step and I commend him for it."

While Atiku hasn't made any formal announcement as to the party he'll be joining, many are of the opinion that he will return to the People's Democratic Party where he'll attempt to snag the party's presidential ticket.

Time will tell.
