Nigeria won another gold medal at the on-going African Senior Athletics Championship on Friday.

A formidable combination of Joy Udo-Gabriel, Blessing Okagbare, Tobi Amusan and Rosemary Chukwuma did the miracle for Nigeria in women’s 4x100m event.

The quartet clocked a time of 43.77 seconds to beat their Ivory Coast counterpart led by 100m women’s champion Marie-Josée Ta Lou with a time of 44.40 seconds to finish 2nd while Kenya came 3rd.

In the men’s 4x100m, Nigeria’s Seye Ogunlewe, Divine Oduduru, Egwero Ogho-Oghene and Emmanuel Arowolo finished second behind defending champions South Africa led by Akani Simbine.
