Teenage sensation Edward Nketiah may have shot himself to the big stage after scoring a brace to help Arsenal beat Norwich City 2-1 in Tuesday’s fourth round of the Carabao Cup.

His performance has caught the interest of Arsenal legend Ian Wright, who has tipped the 18-year-old to be better than Alex Iwobi.

Iwobi, who has been handed several starts by manager Arsene Wenger this season, has struggled to cement a first-team place after an impressive breakthrough campaign.

An impressed Wright wants to see Nketiah in Arsenal’s first team for big competition like the English Premier League and even in Europe.

“He's somebody that has came on and made a difference,” Wright told Sky Sports

"We've had a few players, Iwobi, for example, has came through recently and fizzled out a little bit.

"He's still amongst the first team but you just want someone to come through and make this kind of impact.

Iwobi has made eight appearances for Arsenal in all competition this season, scoring just one goal.
