Arsenal Agree To Pay N3.4bn For Nigerian Striker
Arsenal have agreed to pay a £6.8m transfer fee (N3.4bn) to Belgian club KAS Eupen to snap up Nigerian striker Henry Onyekuru a report on Sky Sport indicates.
It is however understood that the London club are yet to agree on personal terms with the new Super Eagles striker.
The Gunners have been in talks with the Belgian club since last week, having led a string of Premier League teams interested in the 19-year-old.
And Sky Sports say personal terms have not yet been agreed with the player's representatives but that he is an avid Arsenal fan and understood to be keen on the move.
Onyekuru, who is currently on international duty with Nigeria in Paris, was the joint top scorer in Belgium with 20 goals and Celtic had a bid for the 19-year-old turned down in January.
He has also been attracting interests from Everton, Southampton, Crystal Palace, West Brom and West Ham.
The exciting Nigerian striker recently lost out on the Young Player of the Year award in Belgium, finishing third behind Landry Dimata of Oostende and Anderlecht's Youri Tielemans.
