President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived in his hometown, Daura, Katsina State.

This is to enable him participate in the ward congress of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Buhari left Abuja after observing the Juma’at prayers at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa mosque on Friday.

His visit to Daura is coming a day after he returned from a foreign trip. 

The President arrived the country 10:30pm on Thursday after his visit to Washington DC on a bilateral meeting with President Donald Trump of the United States of America.

The APC had a week ago, announced new dates for its 2018 Ward, Local Government Areas and State Congresses.

The dates are May 5 for ward congresses, Local Government Area (LGA) on May 12 and State congresses May 19.
