These are really tough times for the APC. It has lost some prominent chieftains to the PDP and now the cold arms of death.

The Bauchi State spokesperson of All Progressives Congress (APC),  Auwal Jallah has died in a motor accident.

The incident occurred along Azare/Gamawa road when the late APC chieftain was returning to Bauchi.

The spokesperson was travelling with his driver Shamsudden Mohammed.

The accident, which instantly claims the life of the driver, left the politician with several injuries and fractures.

Jallah was rushed to the Federal Medical Center (FMC) Azare and later taken to Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital in Kano for further treatment.

He ‎later died on Wednesday and was buried at his hometown Gamawa according to Islamic rites.‎

Governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar, Bauchi State APC chairman - Uba Ahmed Nana, Organising secretary of the party and other dignitaries attended the funeral prayer.

Governor Abubakar and other dignitaries later condoled with members of the deceased's family.

Abubakar described late Jallah as an honest, dedicated person who lived a simple life and associated well with friends and all other members of the party.
