APC DEFECTION: Buhari Meets Kwankwaso, Senators
President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday night met with some senators elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The senators were led by Rabiu Kwankwaso.
The meeting may not be unconnected with their decision to defect from the APC and return to the PDP.
The senators were sighted at the presidential Villa, Abuja along with Jigawa State Governor Abubakar Badaru.
Kwankwaso representing Kano Central has left the APC after an unending rift with his state governor and former protege, Umar Ganduje.

His rift with Ganduje, governor of the state, made him stay away from the convention of the APC.
He rather chose to visit Atiku Abubakar, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential aspirant on the day of the convention, and he has been listed as one of the lawmakers in the R-APC, though he is yet to acknowledge this publicly.
Kwankwaso contested the presidential ticket of the APC in 2014, and came next to Buhari followed by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.
