Real Madrid are set to send Julen Lopetegui packing and bring in former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte to replace him, according to multiple reports in Spain.

A report in Mundo Deportivo claims that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez left Sunday's loss at Camp Nou without addressing the team a development which suggests his mind is made up on the next line of action.

Also, Spanish outlet Onda Cero reported that following Real Madrid's 5-1 loss to Barcelona on Sunday that Real Madrid would fire Lopetegui and present Conte on Monday.

Marca revealed that Lopetegui spoke with his players following the loss and said goodbye to them "just in case."

Conte stepped down at Chelsea in July after two seasons, where he won the Premier League in his first year and the FA Cup in the second campaign.

He previously served as Italy coach and at Juventus, where he won three straight Serie A titles.

After the departure of star Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer, Real Madrid are mired in ninth place in La Liga with 14 points through 10 games, seven points adrift of leaders, Barcelona.
