Airline passengers travelling out of the Yakubu Gowon Airport in Plateau State were stranded for minutes on Sunday.

Angry passengers of Arik Airline caused some chaos at the airport after what was described as routine flight delay.

The airline has sent a 70 seater plane to convey over 140 passengers who had earlier booked tickets to Lagos.

The passengers, who were scheduled for take off on Sunday 1pm, were shocked when they saw the small aircraft.

When the plane landed at 1:15 pm, passengers who were not given boarding pass blocked the check-in area, insisting no one would leave unless the airline was able to convey all travelers.

The pandemonium affected other airlines.

It was gathered that the passengers later reached an agreement around 3.45pm to allow all those with connecting international flights, women and children and the elderly to board the first flight while others waited for another plane.
