The Peoples’ Democratic Party has been declared winner in Amatutu polling unit, Agulu 2 in the ongoing Anambra governorship election.

The unit is where the former governor of the state, Peter Obi voted in.

The presiding officer announced the result as follows; APC: 5 votes, APGA 40 votes, UPP; one vote, PDC; two votes, while PDP secured a whopping 145 votes from the polling unit.

Voters in the unit, consisting mainly of women, erupted in wild jubilation over the result upon its announcement.

It was gathered that the reason for the jubilation was because Governor Willie Obiano had allegedly mobilised funds to the unit in the hope of buying up votes to humiliate Obi.

Obi dumped APGA for PDP shortly after he left office in 2014.
