The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has assured all that they are more than ready for Saturday's Guber Polls in Anambra.

The Anambra State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Nwachukwu Orji told journalists on Thursday that materials for the election have all been received and equally deployed accordingly.

He said the sensitive materials for the polls were checked and received from Central Bank of Nigeria by INEC at 10:45am.

The exercise, according to Mr. Orji, was witnessed by party agents, observers and media.

It is also understood that materials were distributed at 11:30am.

The criteria for distribution was divided into five which include the distance to Awka, the State Capital, the terrain and voter registration density.

The Public Cross checking and distribution of materials are to be completed by 1pm on Friday.

Meanwhile, INEC says voters should not listen to rumours of attacks on voters as adequate security will be put in place for eligible voters to exercise their franchise.

Already, INEC says that 2,158,171 voters are expected to participate in the November 18 governorship election in Anambra State.

The electoral body also assured that all political parties and their candidates would be given equal treatment.
