Amputee Football: Nigeria To Play Ghana Friendly
While the attention is solely on the Super Eagles as they get set for the World Cup in Russia, the Nigeria Amputee Football team will also be featuring in the World Cup later this year and they are not resting on their oars.
Already, the President of Nigeria Amputee Football Federation (NAFF), Suleiman Isah, has confirmed that the Special Eagles, fondly referred to as the Nigeria Amputee Football team, will play against their Ghanaian counterparts.
Isah said the federation would play at least three friendly matches before the Amputee World Cup slated for October in Mexico.
He further said the match against Ghana will be played in Oghara, Delta State.
“The plans of the federation is to play at least three matches before the Amputee World Cup in Mexico by October and to make sure the team plays together. Letters have been written both to the World body and the Ghana national team for approval too”, Isah told aclsports.com.
“Foreign based players are going to be available for the matches because their experiences are valid. The Technical department of the federation is longing into the area as the home based will be mixed with the foreign ones”, the President added.
