The embattled governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode has refused to answer questions on what will be his next step if he loses out at Monday’s primary election which will produce the APC governorship candidate for Lagos state.

Veteran journalist and former Presidential Candidate Dele Momodu put Gov. Ambode on the spot to know what his other plans are in the event he fails in the APC primary, but the governor declined answering the question

Already, there are talks that Amode is being wooed by other political parties including the PDP to contest on their platform if he is denied the chance by APC.

Political analysts however suggest that the Lagos Governor would most likely be impeached if he dares make the move to join another party.

However, on the widely reported war going on in the APC ranks in Lagos, Ambode denied that there is any rift but instead he said he was working towards bequeathing a legacy to the coming generation.

He said” There is no war here, it's just about us trying to preach the tenets of Democracy. if we say we are democrats, let us practice the tenets of democracy till the end, that is what we must bequeath to the generation coming behind us. I am not willing to respond to the questions on rifts, there is no rift.

“The truth is the whole story is not about the progress and development of Nigeria only but more about the progress and development of Lagos. I have done everything to make sure that these values are the values that I preach, they are the values that I practice and God will help us”.
