AMAZING! Victor Moses Reveals His Football Idol
In any profession including playing football, individuals often have figures they look up to and draw inspiration from.
Victor Moses, who is now enjoying a new lease of life at this Turkish club, Fenerbahce has revealed who his soccer idol is even as he shed more light on those that pulled the strings and facilitated his exit from Chelsea for a new adventure in Turkey.
Moses revealed that Fenerbahce sporting director, Damien Comolli played an important role in his 18-month temporary transfer.
The former Nigeria international said, “Damien Comolli played a major role in my transfer to Fenerbahce, I want to thank the president [Ali Koc] and Comolli.
“He is a great guy, they explained their plans for the club and my role in achieving those goals. They made it clear how important I was to the plans which helped me make up my mind.”
Comolli played an important role in facilitating the transfer of Moses to the Super Lig outfit, pulling strings with contacts built over his time in the Premier League at Liverpool, Tottenham and Arsenal.
Moses also revealed that Emmanuel Emenike gave him a glowing reference of the club and that his idol is Zinedine Zidane.
“I spoke to two Nigerian players about Fenerbahce, one of them was Emmanuel Emenike who spoke very highly of the club,” he added.
“My footballing idol is Zinedine Zidane, he was an amazing guy on and off the field.”
Moses scored in his second appearance for the Yellow Canaries in the 2-0 victory over Goztepe over the weekend.
The Yellow Canaries were in the relegation zone when Moses joined the club but have since moved up the league standings into 12th place.Fenerbahce take on Konyaspor next on Saturday, Moses is expected to make his first start.ALSO WATCH:
