Amaechi Attacks APC: Stop Blame Game, He Says
The Minister of Transport, Mr Chibuike Amaechi, seems to be working hard to put himself on the trend like the #EndSARS topic that has refused to go away.
Or is it just a Senator playing mischief on the Minister, whom he now portrays as someone that has just remembered that most promises that the current administration made in their campaigns have not been kept as their tenure wind down towards another campaign year.
Senator Ben Murray-Bruce is a lover of Twitter and most Nigerians know so, but he has never engaged in slandering, being someone from the media that understands the consequences of going that length to discredit a person or a government.
Friday evening, few minutes before 7:00 p.m. local time, the Senator tweeted as usual, this time with a message asking leaders to heed Chibuike Amaechi's call.
He did not say when Amaechi made that statement, but he was bold enough to say that the Minister asked the leaders to stop blaming the administration of Goodluck Jonathan and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The All Progressives Congress has on several occasions blamed the PDP for the woes that was sadly sweetened with a recession that brought the nation to its knees, with some persons losing jobs in 2016 and 2017.
Senator Murray-Bruce's concluding statement, which was not clear whether that was also made by Mr Amaechi, also bore marks of a man whose patience may have been wearied by this consistent blame game.
It read: "We have blamed for almost three years. What has it gotten us other than recession and economic stagnation. Let us put our car on DRIVE instead of REVERSE".
Whether it was the Minister that made the statement or not that has not been proven, but Mr Amaechi has not also come out to deny the statement.
