The Super Eagles duo of Ahmed Musa and Ogenyi Onazi are huge doubts for Nigeria's next friendly game against Burkina Faso.

Super Eagles manager, Gernot Rohr, has confirmed injuries to Trabzonspor midfielder, Onazi and Leicester City forward, Musa following the 1-1 draw against Senegal in an international friendly played Thursday night in London.

Musa, who stepped down as vice-captain of the three-time African champions was replaced in the second half by Kayode Olarenwaju after he came off worst from a tackle on the edge of the opponents’ box.

While, Onazi who was the original captain for the night picked up an injury in the first half which required him being stretched off the pitch.

Speaking after the match, Rohr said: "He (Onazi) suffered a serious back injury. He'll have a scan to ascertain the extent of his injury. We'll observe Musa too."

It is unlikely that both players will be fit in time to face Burkina Faso on Monday at The Hive, home ground of Barnet Football Club, in London
