In Nigerian football that accolade rests on the shoulders of Ahmed Musa whose support for youth and communal development have been exceptional.

The Leicester City super striker has been phenomenal for the Eagles especially with his electric pace and hard work ethic.

Ahmed Musa is yet to win the CAF African Footballer of the Year Award let alone the FIFA Ballon D'or but he has proven to be a key asset for club and country.

The newly wed striker was on Thursday turbaned as Jagaban Matasan Arewa by the Association of Northern Nigeria students during the commissioning ceremony of his sport and fitness centre in Kano.

Before Thursday's facility unveiling and turbaning, Musa had spoken on the reasons why he chose to commit as much as N.5 billion to building the sports facility.

"People like football in Kano and they pay money to train in different places so I thought it would be good to have a standard place where all these people could have a good place to train, play football and relax too," Musa told KweséESPN.

"They like playing in the night too so this will be a good comfortable place to play football under floodlights and also to rest," he said.
