The Super Eagles will be playing against world class teams as part of their preparations for the Russia 2018 World Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr has disclosed.

While reigning world champions, Germany are on the shortlist of teams being considered, it is also understood that the Eagles will be playing some top South American and European teams as the preparation for the 2018 World cup in Russia goes underway.

Rohr, while speaking with reporters in Abuja, disclosed that the football federation will be looking to secure top quality friendly for the Super Eagles to enhance their readiness for the next summer’s tournament in Russia.

The 64-year old explained that the choice of teams to engage in friendly games will largely be influenced by how the World Cup draws pan out on December 1.

"When we know those in our group by 1st of December, then we know those to approach for friendlies" he said.

This is the sixth time Nigeria will be going to the World Cup and the country is keen to go beyond the Second Round this term.
