A faction within the party and 90 contestants have dragged the party to the Gombe State High Court.
Sirajo Khalid of Shamaki ward in Gombe Local Government Area, alongside the 90 contestants, filed a case before Justice Haruna Habila Kereng.
Their claims in the summons with suit No GM/9/2018 which was made available to Bounce News in Gombe on Wednesday was the ward congress election conducted on the 5th May 2018 in the 114 wards.
They claim the poll was done contrary to the party’s congresses guidelines and constitution of the party and should be declared as wrongful, illegal, null, void and of no effect.
The group sued Chairman of the APC ward and local government congresses committee, Kawu Sumaila and Saka Abimbola Isau, Chairman of the APC ward and local government congresses Appeal Committee.
They further seek an order of injunction restraining the defendants and any other persons from recognising any person purported to have been elected.
