Wednesday January 17, 2018 is another day to remember for traders in Yola.

The memory is actually a bad one as a portion of the popular Yola Town Market was razed by fire.

The cause of the fire outbreak and extent of damage caused by the inferno remain unknown.

However, Adamawa State Chief Fire Officer - Adamu Abdullahi said his men are in control of the situation.

“I am at the scene of the incident and can assure you that things are under control. We are about to contain the fire which damage so far is not much.” He told NAN.

It would be recalled that similar fire outbreak was recorded in the market in 2015 where property worth billions of naira were destroyed.
