After telling the story of how Major-General Murtala Muhammed was assassinated, the creators of ’76 want to make a film about Boko Haram.

The co-producers of ‘76’ Adonijah Owiriwa and Prince Tonye Princewill, said a story was already being developed and that the Nigerian Military was collaborating on the project.

Owirira, Princewill and Izu Ojukwu, the Director of ‘76’ spent a week in Maiduguri, conferring with top Military brass.

“The  Military were deeply impressed with what we did with ’76,  so they approached us and expressed an interest in collaborating on a movie about the Boko Haram conflict.” said Owiriwa

The Film 76, which stars Ramsey Nouah and Rita Dominic as the Lead characters, got 8 nominations in the 2017 African Movie Academy Awards, AMAA, and won  Best Nigerian Film and Best Production Design.

Rita Dominic won best actress for a role the film at the 2017 Afican Magic Viewers Choice Awards(AMVCA).
