A fresh list of players that would jostle for places in final D’Tigers team that would be competing in the Afrobasket 2017 will soon be published.

Nigeria will be defending her title at the 2017 Afrobasket tournament to be co-hosted by Tunisia and Senegal between 8th and 16th of September 2017.

The Vice President of the federation, Babs Oguande, said a committee is already in place to compile names of players who will be invited to camp ahead of the tournament.

Oguade assured that the list will be officially made public through all the official channels of the NBBF as soon as arrangements have been finalized for camping.

“We are working on the men's team. The list will not be ready for announcement soon”

“We will call for camping very soon and once that is done, we will officially inform you.” the NBBF Vice President stated

D'Tigers who won the trophy in 2015 will play their group games in Tunisia and are drawn in group B of the tournament alongside Democratic Republic of Congo, Mali and Côte d'Ivoire.
