After the narrow win over Cote d'Ivoire on Friday night, the Nigeria senior men's basketball team, D'Tigers will be hoping for a better show, as they go head-on against Mali on Saturday night in their second game of the 2017 Afrobasket Championship.

Defending champions, Nigeria were far from convincing in Friday's group opener against the Ivorians and they will need an improved display if they are to overcome a Malian team that also started their campaign on a winning note; beating Congo Democratic Republic.

Bounce Sports has been told that Daniel Ochefu, who was not part of the team that played Cote d'Ivoire on Friday due to some administrative issues has been cleared, to play against Mali on Saturday.

Ochefu is a big plus for D'Tigers who relied heavily on Captain Ike Diogu to go past the Ivorians on Friday. Diogu supplied 31 points to secure the slim 78-77 win for Nigeria on Friday.
