Afrobasket 2017: D’Tigers Captain Hails Teammates
Despite falling short of defending their title in Tunisia, the captain of the men`s basketball team, D’Tigers Ike Diogu has hailed his teammates for putting up a good show in Tunisia.
Diogu, who was also voted as the Most Valuable Player of the 2017 Afrobasket tournament, also applauded his teammates for a wonderful experience and victory in some way at the continental tournament.
Diogu a.k.a Black Caesar shared this on his Instagram page (@blackcaesar01);
"Many thanks to my brothers Ikenna Iroegbu, Ikechuckwu Nwamu, Bryant Mbamalu, Daniel Ochefu, O`karo Akamune and the rest of the clique for making this one of the best times of my life. I`m truly honoured that I got to suit up and rumble with you all. We are only going up and trust me, we are coming right back for that title"
In their response, the young lads, most of who made their debut for Nigeria during the tournament described the Captain as the GOAT (Greatest Of All Time).

Diogu finished as one of the tournament's Top Five Players, got the award for the Highest Scorer with 22 PPG and was crowned Most Valuable Player.
