Qualification for the 2019 Africa Cup Nations is still dicey for Nigeria despite the 3-0 win recorded by the Super Eagles on Saturday.

The barren draw between hosts South Africa and Libya has piled more pressure on the Super Eagles despite their 3-0 win in Seychelles.

Determined Libya stayed top of Group E with four points and a healthy goals’ difference of +4, while South Africa remain in second place, also with four points.

Nigeria are stuck in third place with three points and an improved goals’ difference of +1.

But they could well rue not running up the scores against the Pirates of Seychelles as both Libya and South Africa are also expected to win comfortably in Victoria.

The South Africans could even build a good lead over both Nigeria and Libya after their double-header against Seychelles next month.

The Eagles have a double-header against Libya next month and the results of these two games could well determine Nigeria’s chances of qualifying for 2019 AFCON.

Libya coach Amrouche said after a well-deserved draw in Durban today that he hopes both South Africa and his team advance to the tournament proper.
