Wilfred Ndidi will be missing in action when the Super Eagles take on South Africa in a crucial Africa Cup of Nations qualifying game next month in Johannesburg.

Ndidi’s impending absence is due to the needless yellow card he got in the dying minutes of the Super Eagles’ second leg away game against Libya.

While Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr is quite positive that his team can still get the job done without Ndidi, the Franco-German has given a stern warning to the Leicester City midfielder.

“That was a stupid yellow card, he (Ndidi) has apologized to me and the team that he lost his head at that moment, I have told him, he should not lost his head again no matter what” Rohr stated.

The Super Eagles coach admitted that with a young squad like his, incidences like that of Ndidi cannot be totally avoided.

The Super Eagles who are presently second on the log in their group will need a good result away to South Africa to stand a good chance of qualifying for the 2019 AFCON to be staged in Cameroon .
