The Super Eagles camp in Uyo has been dealt a devastating injury blow.

It is understood that experienced midfielder Ogenyi Onazi has been ruled out of Nigeria’s back-to-back crunch Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against Libya.

It was gathered that former vice-captain cupped what is suspected to be an Achilles’ injury in training on Thursday

The nature and extent of Onazi’s injury could not immediately be ascertained however.

With this development, John Ogu will be most likely be filling in for the injured Onazi

Libya top Group E with four points after two rounds of matches, while Nigeria are third on three points.
