Super Eagles striker, Odion Ighalo had a good outing on Saturday for Nigeria as he banged a hat trick in the 4-0 thrashing of Libya in the Africa Cup of Nations Cup qualifying match played in Uyo the Akwa Ibom State capital.

After struggling in recent games, Ighalo was up and running for Nigeria from the blast of the whistle on Saturday and he got his first goal in the fourth minute of the game when he scored a penalty for the Super Eagles to make it 1-0.

The China-based striker added his second goal of the match in the 58th minute of the game with a brilliant strike off an assist from Alex Iwobi.

 Ighalo got his hat-trick and first for Nigeria on 69th minute in goal-mouth scramble as he bundled the ball in.

Samuel Kalu joined in the scoring spree as he made it 4-0 for Nigeria in the 90th minute.

With the three points from the game in Uyo, the Super Eagles are now on six points after three matches but they are behind South Africa who have seven points after their 6-0 annihilation of Seychelles also on Saturday.

The Super Eagles will now be hoping to get at least a fair result in their return leg clash against Libya on Tuesday in Tunisia.
