AFCON Qualifiers: Ex-Arsenal Defender Vows To Make Nigeria Proud
Former Arsenal defender and Super Eagles newcomer, Semi Ajayi has promised to give his all in Saturday’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Libya.
It is presently not looking too good for Nigeria at the moment as the country sits third on the table on three points after losing their opening encounter 2-0 to South Africa.
Libya on their part, sits top on the table after defeating Seychelles 5-1 in their opening game before holding South Africa 0-0 in their second group fixture.
“We know the importance of these two matches and are determined to do all we can to secure maximum points to give ourselves the best chance of qualification and make our country proud,” Semi said.
Semi also called on the fans to support the team as it'll encourage the players on the pitch.
“We ask for the continued support from our fans as their support can make all the difference,” he added.
