Adeboye Regrets Absence From Gani Adams' Installation
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye has expressed regret over his inability to attend the installation of Gani Adam as the 15th Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yoruba land which held at the Durbar Stadium, Oyo State.
He made this known in a letter to Adams, dated January 17, 2018.
The cleric attributed his absence to the work of evangelism both within and outside Nigeria.
The letter read, “Grace be unto you and peace from God our Father. We greet you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth. We congratulate you on your installation as the 15th Aare Ona Kakanfo of Yoruba land.
“We regret our inability to attend. Constraints include scheduled annual commitments year in year out at home and abroad. Be assured of our continuous love and prayers.”
Adams, who is also the founder of the Oodua Progressive Union, was installed on January 13, 2018.
The Aare had worshipped at the Ijo Orunmila Adulawo in Ebute Meta, Lagos where the Chief Priest, Awodiran Agboola, demanded that the Federal Government give traditional worshipers more attention and support.
Adams, who arrived at about 11.15 am with his wife, children, relatives and members of the Oodua Peoples Congress in a convoy of about 20 vehicles, said he had to be liberal with the three prominent religions in Nigeria.FOR MORE FRESH STORIES, DOWNLOAD BOUNCE NEWS APP HERE
