2018 is the year of Shaku Shaku, and every musician seems to be falling into the vibe.

A dance that started from the streets of Agege has become one of the most viral steps that have taken over amongst entertainment watchers.

Since the dance flows better with a specific type of sound -  a distinct bass-heavy, distorted beat, Nigerian musicians appear to be trying out new ways to incorporate the dance into their songs and videos.

Even Wizkid's next video will include the dance steps, and this will only add to the hype given to Shaku Shaku by Olamide's 'Wo' video.

Since  the dance is complemented by a specific type of beat, Bounce News brings you 7 singles  that are  already Shaku Shaku certified.

1. Mr Real - 'Legbegbe' ft Idowest, Obadice, Kelvin Chuks

This is the template for Shaku Shaku.

Mr Real scored a hit with 'Legbegbe' which features  Idowest, Obadice and Kelvin Chuks and is inspired by film producer, Seun Egbegbe's case of theft and fraud.

Seun Egbegbe was first caught while attempting to steal 8 iPhones at the popular Computer Village, then he was arrested for trying to swindle some money changers in Gbagada.

Legbegbe’ when translated literally into English, means ‘side by side’. It’s a slang for when people stand beside a person in order to steal from them. They stand ‘side by side’ with you, and then your ‘iPhone' disappears.

Seun Egbegbe went after 8 iPhones, and that’s why the hook has the 8 iPhone count.

2. Olamide - 'Wo'

Olamide's hit single is literally a dance virus, and only the best of Shaku Shaku can do justice to this song.

3. Idowest – 'Omo Shepeteri' ft Dammy Krane & Slimcase

Idowest, who is signed to Dammy Krane’s Worldstar Inc record label, gives fans one of the bests songs in this 'Shakurised' space, titled 'Omo Shepeteri'.

Only the title tells you that it is Shaku Shaku time.

4.  Olamide - 'Science Student'

Olamide starts 2018 with a now controversial song. The song has been 'accused' of promoting drug abuse.

But like the successful #OLIC concert in Lagos, and album (Lagos Nawa), the song still makes people forget their home training and break into Shaku Shaku.

5. DJ Consequences - 'Assignment' ft Olamide

DJ Consequence continues his musical form by teaming up with Olamide on this Shaku Shaku-certified tune titled ‘Assignment’.

6. D'banj - 'Issa Banger' ft Slimcase, Mr Real

D’banj kick starts 2018 with a spanking new street-tailored tune entitled 'Issa Banger'.

He features musicians who have created the 'manuscript' for the right kind of beat for 'Shaku Shaku' - Slimcase and Mr Real of the 'Legbegbe' fame.

This one is specially made for the street.

7. Reminisce - 'Problem'

Indigenous rapper, Reminisce joins the Shaku Shaku train with his first song of the year, 'Problem'.

The street-tailored tune has all the right 'blowing' potentials.
