55 Crime Suspects Arrested In Ogun Between Dec/Jan Alone
The Ogun State Police Command is not willing to allow criminal elements being chased out of Lagos to find a home in their state.
Fifty-five suspected criminals were on Tuesday paraded by the command for various criminal offences.
From armed robbery to kidnapping, murder, cultism and illegal possession of fire arms, they all filed out looking remorseful before the media.
Asides the arrests of the suspects at various locations in the state, there were also recoveries of arms and loots.
The Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, said 39 arms, including AK 47 Rifles, Pump Action guns and locally made pistols as well as 396 ammunitions were recovered from them.
Eight vehicles snatched at different robbery operations were also recovered from the suspects.
All 55 suspects were arrested between December 2017 and January 2018.
The CP assured the residents that his command would continue to fight criminals to a standstill in the new year.
