1. "The Royal Hibiscus Hotel"

“The Royal Hibiscus Hotel”  was first premiered at the Toronto International  Film Festival in 2017, but will only make it’s way to the cinemas in 2018.

The romantic comedy by EbonyLife Films, is directed by Ishaya Bako, who directed the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award winning film, "Road to Yesterday."

It stars Zainab Balogun, Deyemi Okanlawon, Jide Kosoko, Rachel Oniga, Kenneth Okolie, Akah Nnani and Kemi Lala Akindoju.


2. "Lion Heart"

After producing ‘Road To Yesterday”  Genevieve Nnaji will be sitting on the director’s chair for “Lion Heart”.

Written by C.J Fiery Obasi based on a screenplay by Ishaya Bako and Emil Garuba, the movie is about an Igbo family who run a transportation business.

The movie features Steve Eboh, Pete Edochie, Kalu Ikeagwu, Kanayo O Kanayo, Onyeka Onwenu, Nkem Owoh, Jemima Osunde, Yakubu Mohammed and Sani Muazu.


3. "Amina"

Izu Ojukwu continues the historic path with a new film titled Amina.

This comes after his award winning film  "76," which centersaround the assassination of General Murtala Mohammed, a former Nigerian Head of State.

"Amina"  follows the story of the legendary 16th century warrior, Queen Amina of Zaria.

The visuals from the trailer showcase well-choreographed action scenes, like never seen before in Nollywood.

4. "Gold Statue"

Veteran film maker, Tade Ogidan, who directed "Diamond Ring" and "Hostages" brings together the best Nollywood stars in a new film titled “Golden Statue”.

He gets Nollywood legends- RMD, Sola Sobowale, Segun Arinze, Femi Durojaiye, Tina Mba, Norbert Young and Ali Baba to act alongside Gabriel Afolayan, Kunle Remi, Rycardo Agbo, Kelvin Ikeduba, Kunle Fawole, Greg Ojefua, Etinosa Idemudia, Adeniyi Johnson, Woli Arole, Bisola Ayeola, Kenny Blaq and Judith Audu.

So much star power in one film, I am already sweating!

5. "Muna"

Mrs. Wellington wields a sword in this new film.

We get to see a fearless side of Banky W’s ‘susu’ which sees her beat up guys twice her size.

The Kevin Nkem Nwankwor movie titled "Muna" stars Adesua  Etomi as the title character alongside Falz, Onyeka Onwenu and Ebele Okaro.

The film, which was shot in the United States, sees Adesuwa get to show off her martial arts skills alongside Mayling Ng, who played Orana in "Wonder Woman."
