No fewer than five persons were killed in a fresh attack on Mararaban Kola community in Guyuk Local Government area of Adamawa State.

Eye witness accounts reveal that the suspected armed herdsmen invaded Mararaba Kola village in Kola District at midnight on motor bikes shooting sporadically and setting some houses ablaze.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Adamawa State Command, SP Othman Abubakar confirmed the incident saying four men and a woman were killed in the attack, while seven houses were razed down by the attackers. 

He further said that a man and his wife sustained serious injuries and were rushed to the Specialist hospital in Yola for medical attention.

The Sole Administrator of Kola State Development Area, Hon Sam Kasiwa revealed that the military have been deployed to the area resulting in the arrest of two of the attackers. The arrest is however yet to be confirmed by the military.
