Residents of Kaleri, a neighbourhood of Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State have been thrown into mourning after five persons died in suicide bomb attacks.

Suicide bombers had snuck into the village on Sunday night and attacked the dwellers. However, reports say only the suicide bombers died in the attack.

Since the military increased onslaught against the terrorist group, they have resorted to attacking soft targets with suicide bombers.

In Sunday's attack which occurred around 7:00 p.m., three residents of the community were injured and are receiving treatment at the state specialist hospital in Maiduguri.
