The first match of the World Cup was not played on August 14 neither was FIFA formed on that day but nonetheless, that unique date is special in football circles.

It is the day former Super Eagles captain and soccer legend Austin Jay Jay Okocha was born in 1973, and years after quitting the round leather game he is still being celebrated as one of the best to play the game at least from Africa.
