 So, Bounce News has picked 4 Hollywood actors of Nigerian descent, who play lead roles on Netflix movies.

From David Oyelowo's minimalistic drama, Five Nights In Maine, to the light comedy Step Sisters which stars  Megalyn Echikunwoke.

1.    Davido Oyelowo

Nigerian-British actor, David Oyelowo stars in lead role for two movies, Five Nights In Maine and Captive.

In Five Nights in Maine, Oyelowo stars as a young African American man, who is sad from the tragic loss of his wife.

He travels to rural Maine to seek answers from his estranged, cancer-stricken mother-in-law (Dianne Wiest), who is also confronting guilt and grief over her daughter's death.

Captive is based on a true story that follows Brian Nichols played by David Oyelowo — the subject of a city-wide manhunt after breaking out of a courthouse jail and killing four people.

He eventually takes a recovering meth addict, Ashley Smith, as hostage in her own apartment.



2. Chiwetel Ejiofor

Chiwetel Ejiofor stars in Come Sunday.

It is based on a true story about Carlton Pearson (Chiwetel Ejiofor), a conflicted televangelist who is ostracized by his church and tagged a "modern-day heretic" for preaching against the existence of hell.


3. Megalyn Echikunwoke

Megalyn Echikunwoke plays, Jamilah, a star student, who is ordered to come to the rescue by teaching the hard-partying white girls from Sigma Beta Beta who embarrass the school, how to dance, in the hopes of winning a dance competition.


4. John Boyega

John Boyega plays the lead named Bambi in Imperial Dreams.

He is  a young father, who is struggling to make a new life for himself following his release from prison, trying to protect his son from the harsh world they live in.
