Some of the hackers who gave Game Of Thrones fans an early episode ‘treat’ have been arrested in India.

The 4 people had leaked episode 4 from HBO's "Game of Thrones" television series before it was aired in the country.

Police officials say the 4, who were employees of the a Mumbai-based company responsible for storing and processing the TV episodes for an app, were accused of criminal breach of trust and computer-related offences.

HBO had earlier gotten threats by hackers that they will leak the popular fantasy drama -- which tells the story of noble families vying for the Iron Throne – if the TV network did not pay a ransom.

“After receiving a complaint for a company we investigated the case and have arrested four individuals for unauthorised publication of the fourth episode from season seven," Deputy Commissioner of Police Akbar Pathan said.
