After winning the 2017 edition of Big Brother Naija, Efe seems to have failed at building on his new found fame.

Efe has successfully released three singles but every new song appears to have less mass appeal.

He has also spoken about how he may totally lose relevance over the next 6 months.

Efe is not one cut out for controversy like Tboss and Gifty; but he still has his selling points.

Here are three things the self-acclaimed rapper should do to save his drowning music career.

1.    Redefine originality

Efe  needs to stop trying to sound like Junior and Pretty from the 1980’s and redefine his style.

Intelligent people listen to rap. So, he has to lay out his verses professional regardless of his preferred spoken language, Pidgin.

Even his most popular catchphrase “Based On Logistics” seems to be drowning.

2.    Get a songwriter

song writer

While some are gifted performers others are gifted writers.

There is no shame if Efe gets the right kind of help. Ask Davido, it works like magic. I recommend Harrysong, the guy has got flows for days.

3.    Efe needs a very, very, very good marketing team

Its time the ‘Based On Logistics’ crooner stops relying only on his Instagram and Twitter followers.

In the real world, Nigerians like great music. You need to wow them. Efe underestimates his own brand and he is unwilling to get it mixed up.

He needs to get a PR team that will think outside the box and creatively package him as a product without a shelf life.
