Nigerians were again dazed by a list of newly appointed board members by the current administration of President Muhammadu Buhari that has a few dead persons in it.

Mixed reactions have trailed the situation and the self acclaimed government of truth has come out to say it was a mistake.

But the situation portends three things for the current administration and Nigerians as a whole.

  1.  People are not selected based on competence
The list further shows that the current administration has not paid diligent attention to giving roles to persons based on efficiency or their ability to function in the position. It appears the first target is favouring members of the party and its cronies.
This poor selection process has led to the drop in the standard of education, with a typical example showing in Kaduna State some months ago.
  2. There is high-inefficiency even in the presidency
According to the presidency's defence, the new Secretary to the Government of the Federation was asked by President Muhammadu Buhari to publish a list prepared by the sacked SGF, Babachir Lawal, and he did not bother to go through to be sure he was publishing something that should not bring riddle to Nigeria.  The development shows true signs of inefficiency that Bounce News believes should lead to sanctions.
  3. It is a bad precedence for the nation with over 60% youth
If the government is truly concerned of a future that is different from what they have now, they should have better examples that the younger generation should emulate. The act has set a bad precedence for the younger generation.
