Chelsea striker, Alvaro Morata has given at least three reasons why he joined English Premier League champions Chelsea ahead of Manchester United.

Manager, Antonio Conte brought Morata to Stamford Bridge in a deal worth around £70m last summer.

25-year-old Morata said top of his reasons was the relationship he has with manager Conte.

“I came here because there was a coach like Antonio Conte,” he said.

“I'm in debt with Conte. He had taken me for Juve and then left for Italy. When I knew he wanted me, I didn't think twice.”

Morata added that the presence of many Spanish players in England also contributed to his interest to join the Blues.

And guess the third reason, Morata’s wife loves London, and that wraps it up.

“The presence of a Spanish enclave, with Azplicueta, Alonso, Fabregas and Pedro, made things simpler. The third is my wife Alice Campello, she followed me to London.”
