Desperate to celebrate Christmas in style or a regular trade just gone bad?

The trio of China Lawrence, 23; Rapheal Toriola, 21; and Eniola Amoo, 33 might be spending Christmas in jail if found guilty of conspiracy, felony and stealing.

The three men who allegedly stole seven goats valued at N70,000 were on Tuesday brought before an Okitipupa Magistrates’ Court in Ondo State.

The prosecutor, Insp. Zedekiah Orogbemi, in his submission, said that the accused committed the offences at Igodan, Okitipupa around 12:00 am on October 15.

He said that the goats, property of one Grace Badru, were later recovered from the house of one of the accused.

The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Although they were granted bail by Magistrate Mr Banji Ayeomoni, it remains to be seen if they would meet the conditions.

He granted the accused bail in the sum of N30,000 each, with a surety each in like sum, all of whom must show evidence of tax payment for one year.

He adjourned the case until December 8 for further hearing.
