Isaac Saba, Philip Daniel and Ayo Ojo, were arraigned on a two-count charge of conspiracy and theft.

They may spend the next three months in jail.

But what brought them to this point is what leaves one baffled. They stole a dog, valued at N10, 000.

The Police Prosecutor, Sgt. Aliyu Malami, said that one Mary Adama of Kpakungu community in Minna reported the matter at the police station on April 3.

The Magistrates’ Court in Minna on Friday ordered each of them to serve a prison term of four weeks, after they all pleaded guilty to the offence.

However, the good news is that Magistrate Hamza Muazu also gave each of them an option to pay N2, 000 as fine.

If they meet the condition, they will not have to serve the prison term.
