Shehu Sani, the senator representing Kaduna Central has a word of advice for Southern Nigeria.

He has offered his thoughts on how he thinks the Igbos and Yorubas can claim the promise of being president in 2023.

Sani gave the advice on Tuesday while wading into the controversy surrounding which region takes over the presidency from incumbent president, Muhammadu Buhari, who is seeking a second term.

Recall that Osinbajo had said President Buhari would hand over the presidency to the South West if he gets a second term.

But both the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Boss Mustapha and the Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola had at different occasions said the South East will produce the next President if they support Buhari in 2019.

Lending his voice on the matter, the Kaduna lawmaker advised whichever region being promised the presidency to demand a written agreement from Buhari and the APC.

Sani said the agreement must be signed in the presence of well known religious and traditional office holders.

The tweet read: “If they promise your geopolitical zone political power in 2023,demand for a written irreversible and irrevocable agreement, signed by their presidential candidates and party chieftains and witnessed by respected traditional and religious leaders.”

He added that ‘gentleman agreement is a hoax and a mirage.”
