Technology is good, but using it requires a great deal of responsibility and carefulness.

Somebody is now in trouble after the most unexpected tweet came from Guinness Nigeria on the day that the Vice President of political parties looking to run in 2019 general election had their debate.

The debate had started smoothly and the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr Peter Obi, took his turn to speak.

Someone watching the show, after listening to few things he said and the data he had put forward (which he has now deleted from his Twitter handle) accused Mr Obi of lying.

"I knew this PDP man, Peter Obi, would start with lies and contrived data," he wrote.

That tweet received a reaction from Guinness with a bizarre tweet, sounding abusive and partisan.

"Shut up your dirty mouth goat," the tweet which has now been deleted by Guinness Nigeria read.

The delete button was touched late, as it had been grabbed and now gone viral.

On the same day, after the tweet was deleted, Guinness put out another tweet, assuring its followers and the public that the issue was under investigation.

"Hi, please be rest assured that we are investigating this and will get back to you," a tweet on its page read.

Mixed reactions trailed the tweet that some said was as a result of carelessness on the part of the manager of the handle who may have logged on to different accounts, but forgot to switch before sending the tweet.

Is someone losing his/her job?
