2019: PDP Suffers Another Big Loss As Fmr Nat'l Chairman Joins APC
Ahead of the 2019 general elections, the opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) continues to suffer more casualties in the mold of members deserting the party.
A former National Chairman of the party, Adamu Muazu has defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Adamu's defection and that of other PDP chieftains in Bauchi State were confirmed by the PDP state Publicity Secretary, Yayanuwa Zainabari.
Aside Adamu, other PDP leaders that defected were Deputy National Chairman North, Babayo Garba Gamawa, a former Secretary to the Federal Government (SGF), Ahmed Yayale, and Kaulaha Aliyu.
The PDP Publicity Secretary alleged that the defectors took the decision to dump the party to escape the wrath of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and apparently to pacify the ruling party.
