The ‘Not Too Young To Run’ movement has condemned what it described as the ‘usurpation’ of its platform by Senate President Bukola Saraki to declare his 2019 presidential ambition.

Whilst addressing participants at the town hall, on Thursday, August 31st in Abuja, Senator Saraki declared his intention to run for the office of the President in the 2019 elections.

The group, which champions youth participation in politics, in a statement, said it was disappointed by Saraki’s decision as its apolitical programme was not meant for such.

It said it was shocked when Saraki seized the opportunity to declare his presidential bid thereby compromising the event.
