Details of the discussion were not known but the presence of Sudan at the discussion fuelled speculations that it would not be unconnected with the gubernatorial primaries of the PDP in the state.

It was also learnt that during the visit Babangida sent for some leaders of the PDP in the state, among them the State Chairman, Tanko Beji and former Governor Babangida Aliyu.

These PDP chieftains were earlier scheduled to meet Babangida this weekend.
