2019: Femi Otedola 'Offered' PDP Ticket To Run Against Ambode
Lagos State governor Akinwunmi Ambode may not find his re-election ambition come easy, with opposition parties set to pose serious threats.
It has been revealed that billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola has been “offered” a ticket by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to run against the incumbent governor in the 2019 general elections.
Publisher of Ovation magazine, Dele Momodu made the revelation on his twitter handle on Tuesday and added that Otedola has accepted the offer.
“Breaking news: Lagos 2019 promises to be interesting. PDP offers Femi Otedola governorship ticket. He's accepted and personally confirmed to The Boss newspaper...”
This is coming just one day after Ambode officially declared his desire to re-contest for the seat of the governor of Lagos state.
Otedola is a businessman, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and chairman of Forte Oil PLC, an importer of fuel products. He is also the founder of Zenon Petroleum and Gas Ltd, and the owner of a number of other businesses across shipping, real estate and finance.
