Nigeria’s Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara has visited the Peoples Democratic Party national secretariat in Abuja to submit his Nomination and Expression of Interest forms.

Dogara is seeking to re-contest on PDP's platform for Bogoro/Dass/Tafawa-Balewa Federal Constituency.

Speaking while submitting his form in Abuja, Dogara said he would rather be hated for who he is than be loved for who he is not.

“APC has not fulfilled a single promise that we made. I'm still shocked when I recover from my shock I will tell everyone and my people why I left the APC. Some people in APC have a sense of entitlement. When it serves them, they say party is supreme.

“I would rather be hated for who I am than be loved for who I am not. I am back to my roots. In APC, we were always reminded that we were not core members of the party.

“I'm waiting for anybody who says he will retire me from politics in my constituency of Bogoro/Dass/Tafawa-Balewa Federal Constituency. Let them come.” He said.

Dogara had on September 13 picked the PDP nomination form, an indication he has defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC).
